A pair of long dangling silver clip earrings set with pyrite, manufactured by Günthner, Pforzheim. The company was known for innovative modernist designs and high-quality workmanship. Jewellery pieces by Günthner were manufactured in small series.
The clip earrings are composed as matte silver cascades of cubes and open cubical forms of varying sizes, each earring set with two pyrite crystals. The cubical forms refer to the crystallographic cubic structure of pyrite, also known as ‘fool’s gold’ and in use for the production of marcasites for jewellery.
