Willi (Wilhelm) Stoll (1907 – 1989)

1922-26 apprenticeship as a steel engraver at the company of Lutz & Weiss, Pforzheim
1924-28 studies at the Pforzheim School of Applied Arts
1928-30 working for Paul Telge and H.J.Wilm, Berlin
1930-32 working for Ernst Treusch, Leipzig
since 1933 working as a self-employed silver- and goldsmith in Leipzig

1937 gold medal for a bangle at the Paris International Exposition

Wilhelm Stoll was craftsman from conviction: his silverware and jewellery was handcrafted without the aid of machines.
