In design, workmanship and combination of materials a typical Art Nouveau jewellery piece by Karl Rothmüller, Munich, the motif of the winding serpent has been taken up by Rothmüller for several variations of the brooch.

Kindly note: the demantoid garnet shows some traces of wear.
