Item No.: RGG00209

Item Description: "Angela Hübel: 'In-Between Fingers', a Silver & Gold Modernist Ring"

Angela Hübel: ‘In-Between Fingers’, a Silver & Gold Modernist Ring
Sterling silver, 18ct. yellow gold
Germany, 1987-88

The ring - one of a kind -  is among the first created by Angela Hübel who passed her diploma in jewellery design at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (Prof. Hermann Jünger) in 1988, opening her own workshop in 1989. Lacking the money for precious metal during her student days at the Munich Academy she used to transform old silver rings of her father into new designs. The ring is not cast but - more complicated - mounted hollow, one of the almond-shaped tops in silver, the other one in 18 carat yellow gold.
